an update on the 5’8 i shaped a month or so ago..loaned it to jamie borders, who rode it as a twin fin (w/ futures “elevons”)…took a couple of sessions to dial, but the verdict was “super fun board”

i got it back, installed FCS plugs in the standard thruster position and took it out…went insane from the first wave, and it was only waist high..can’t wait for a good head high day. the low rocker & the area in the nose all help in paddling, while the straight outline gives it a ton of drive for such a short board..a lot of fun in a small package….

brandon blackmon’s new one has similar characteristics in the rocker and basic outline (with a few cosmetic changes)…should be a blast !

polyester customs…..5’10 diamond tail RNF 5-fin for sha khatibi, 5’8 quad rocket fish for blake cowan, 6’0 thumbtail 5-fin for carl schifanella, 8’6 LB for jeremy chaplin

another updated outline for this year..using a diamond tail on the basic round nosed fish planshape…shortens the rail line for tighter arcs and offers a bit more projection with the added planing surface from filling in the area where the swallow tail was.
