a true “retro” project…ed williams wanted a board that looked like it was built in 1979..we started with a clark foam blank, shaped a 6’8″ MR style twin fin, airbrushed graphics typical for the period… leave it in the sun for a week or so prior to glassing to give it some age.
gloss and polish the lamination …
use a clark foam decal …
and 7 1/2″ fins unlimited boxes that were used at the time…
and you’re back in time to ’79
dan salimone’s friend jim wanted an 8’6 x 23 1/2″ V-bottom just like the one dan has…but with a little more impact…
it’ll look good on the wall in between sessions, too
